Even during Coroner time ..... worth a visit
that was the rudest and most incompetent waitress I have ever come across in my entire life. a cheapest hot iced tea was sold to me as punch for € 3.50! No more.
Very, very tasty, nice service, top service
Super nice restaurant with a fantastic view over Würzburg and the surrounding vineyards. The food is very good (currently only to take away, of course), the staff is very helpful and friendly. The nut nougat liqueur is particularly recommended! We are already looking forward to celebrating our wedding at Nikolaushof in summer. Hold on!
Christmas goose was disappointing The goose was neither crispy nor well done, but it was more expensive than other providers. Red cabbage was far too little and the dumplings were simply packaged goods. Only the sauce was more than enough and the chestnuts were really tasty. We won't get any more goose to go here. Other restaurants can do that much better.
Great idea! Mulled wine to go Nice Christmas market
It is wonderful to be able to endure here during the Corona period.
The food is very good and the location is a dream. However, it takes a long time before the food arrives, so don't arrive too hungry. The price-performance ratio is right.
An incredible location, especially in autumn with the leaves turning all shades of yellow against the blue of the sky and city below - backed up by an exceptional dining experience. Friendly service, delicious food and a huge selection of the best wines from all over the world. The staff also put up with my 4 kids amazingly with patience and kindness. The best restaurant so far in Germany by far. can't wait to come back and experience it in Winter, Spring and Summer! Beautiful.
Unfortunately we didn't feel that we were in good hands. There were 6 there to celebrate my birthday. At first we were simply not noticed and we stood in the area for almost 10 minutes until we were finally assigned a table (despite a reservation.) It took forever to order drinks. Starters came quickly. Main courses, however, not at all. It turned out it was forgotten to forward to the kitchen. Mistakes can happen, but if not a little reparation in the form of an expresso or something similar. is offered, that is already poor for a supposedly very good house. Especially since you only responded to our complaint with excuses. They didn't want to pay out our remaining credit on the voucher either, so we'll probably have to go there again, but only reluctantly.
Location / view phenomenal ... Food is very tasty but also has its price ... Service couldn’t be better: tea lights were not lit - we had to wait a long time for the menu ... some things were misunderstood ... but everything was okay especially a great restaurant for special evenings with friends
The Nikolaushof is located at the worth seeing pilgrimage church Käppele above Würzburg. In the rustic ambience and in good weather on the great terrace with a wonderful view of Würzburg you can enjoy Franconian, international food and wines. Everything is prepared here tasty and looks very appetizing. The service is very friendly and quick. A nice place to get away from it all. The price-performance ratio is reasonable for the food and the view ? parking spaces are available free of charge. If you liked the recession or it helped, then I look forward to LIKE your Sina.
On Saturday we sat in the barn of the bar, which was very inviting. So the atmosphere was very relaxing. Unfortunately, there wasn't much to choose from on the menu. The starters were great and very delicious. That's why we were really looking forward to the main course. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. There were 6 of us and everyone had cold food. For the money we paid, we expected more. Despite everything, the young man who served us was very nice and courteous.
Nikolaushof came over. The service staff was friendly, but it took a long time for something to go ahead (about 20 minutes until we could order something). The cake was delicious. The ambience is determined by the great view over Würzburg. We would have liked to have ordered a second drink - unfortunately none of the service staff was within our reach ... to pay we finally had to speak to three different service staff ...
We went there yesterday and couldn't have been more disappointed! I have been working in catering for many years in addition to school and university, but I have seldom seen such high prices for so little service ... Even the placement was uninviting and even when we were sitting we were not greeted. All waiters who were at least physically present thought a card was sufficient. In a french fries stall, yes ... but in a restaurant I don't really want to read the menu upside down ... The starter plate was microscopic and therefore not very "extravagant" we gave the soup TWICE back because it was just cold ... Conclusion: juicy prices for super bad service and less inspiring dishes. Congratulations dear operator, unfortunately the great location can't save anything with the bad management.
In itself a very nice location, but it should be cleaned thoroughly and above all toilets should be clean (10 minutes after opening). Unfortunately, there are now construction sites in all corners (missing wooden planks on the floor, holes in the ceilings of the toilet facility, etc.) Food was really good. Drinks and the selection also great. However, the staff should enjoy a training session on the subject of wine. And there we already have the problem ... The service (the only blonde employee this evening) is unfortunately anything but friendly. The service offered bears no relation to the price requested. It's a shame, because the other employees came across as very friendly. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff always gave a very unprofessional impression. (When serving a duck as a waitress, I don't say "... who's going to get the chicken" at the table, but fine. To enjoy the beautiful view with a glass of wine it is definitely worth a visit for more, unfortunately not necessarily.
We were here for a wedding and felt very comfortable. Everything was right. Many thanks.
Positive: Very nice view of Würzburg Negative: value for money, food, unfriendly waiters The restaurant charges high prices for what I think is below average food. The waiters are unfriendly to sticky. Unfortunately, large dogs are also allowed that shake next to you at the table, so that the dog's hair flies onto the food and the table, which I find unhygienic and very annoying. Conclusion: To enjoy the beautiful view, you can make yourself comfortable with a glass of wine. I would go somewhere else to eat.
A great evening with a view of Würzburg. Service very good. Food delicious what more could you want.
+ spectacular view that I didn't get to enjoy - everything else: remarkably bad service, less than average food for a high price Specifically asked to book a table with a view, got it confirmed. Still was seated at the inner side of the restaurant. I naively assumed the outer tables were reserved for larger groups so let it slide - only to see most tables being occupied by couples... Obviously they do not read booking requests before confirming them (and I even happened to mention that it was my bday in it). Asked the waiter for a wine card, he pointed me to the menu with 10 wines on it, saying "this is the wine card". So looked up the wine card on the pdf from the restaurant website and managed to order from there, the waiter didn't even bother to excuse himself. The food was less than average, the fish was abusively over-salted, especially for such a high price and low variety - you would really expect it to turn out much nicer. The atmosphere is that of an assembly line, not of fine dining. The waiters are obviously overwhelmed and end up doing a poor job. So do them a favour, and go somewhere else.
Eat tasty but poor service. Food was very tasty, albeit too small portions with little side dishes. The view is wonderful. Service was overwhelmed. Ordered twice espresso, none arrived. Dessert came after more than half an hour. Often drinks and food came which we did not order. High chair dirty, chairs shaky, seat pads not cleaned. Toilets well ... Unfortunately insufficient for the price level. Then there was bread for the fish! Excellent!
Many many thanks. The stay was great. We got a very good wine recommendation and the food was very good quality and delicious. The service was very authentic, friendly and warm. We really enjoyed our stay and were able to forget a little bit of the time. We would love to come back and recommend the Nikolaushof. The weather was fantastic and from our place on the terrace we could even see a duck mom with her little ones.
Nice Place, Nice View!
Excellent service, beautiful view of Würzburg!
Top
I think we stumbled on this place after hiking up the hill on a hot day and it was the only establishment around that was open and had cold drinks. Great view, though the price tag reflects that.
Service was okay. Staff was polite, but not too eager. Food was adequate, but not extraordinary. Location is relatively remote from Würzburg. Not easily reached. The atmosphere of the place and view are amazing.
Food and Service were great. Prices a bit on the high end . Also great view over the City
Go for the view, then go (leave). Or have a drink, but don't expect fine dining. Expect to pay for fine dining. The server was trying very hard and was very kind but this couldn't make up for what appeared to be a poorly managed kitchen and operation.
Nice place with tasty german cuisine. Located on the mountain and has super view on city. Highly recommend.
Excellent traditional German restaurant. Open air overlooking Würzburg. We had a large group (25+) and we had a great BBQ cooked in front of us. Great views, good service, English speakers.
wonderful insight from würzburg
Fantastic view over Würzburg. Lovely food. No complaints what so ever.
Perfect german restaurant!
Great view, great service.
Very nice bar with a view over the city, offering good cocktails and German food (flammekuchen, bratwurst, etc.) on the outside bar side and more elaborate German dishes and good wines in the more quiet restaurant part.
A place to be in summer
We were here to celebrate a bithday. And we really had a great evening. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had a prefect evening. We had a 4 course meal and enjoyed every single bite.such nice and friendly staff. They always also asked if we were ready for the next course or would like a little break! We really enjoyed the meal and the wine which the waiter picked out for us! The restaurant itself was really pretty and the views from there are breath taking! Also great place to go in summer. We will be back soon for sure! Thanks again to the whole team!
Very touristic, you can sit outside as well, food is okay, very good selection of wines available.
